تفوق الأستاذ على تلميذه، بعدما نجح مارسيلو بيلسا مدرب نادي ليدز يونايتد في قيادة فريقه للفوز على متصدر الدوري الإنجليزي مانشستر سيتي، وتلميذه، بيب جوارديولا بالفوز بهدف قاتل في اللحظات الأخيرة من المباراة التي جمعتهما في الجولة الحادية والثلاثين بنتيجة 1-2.

وكانت المباراة على ملعب “الاتحاد” بمدينة “مانشستر”، بدون حضور جماهيري بقيادة الحكم آندي مارينر.

تقدم ليدز يونايتد في النتيجة بالدقيقة 42 من زمن الشوط الأول عن طريق، ستيوارت دالاس، وانتهت أول 45 دقيقة بتقدم الضيوف بهدف نظيف.

وفي الشوط الثاني، نجح مانشستر سيتي في إدراك التعادل عن طريق، فران توريس، في الدقيقة 76.

وفي الدقيقة الأولى من الوقت بدل الضائع، استطاع دالاس من تسجيل هدف قاتل لصالح ليدز يونايتد في مرمى، إيدرسون، ومنح النقاط الثلاث لصالح فريقه.

وأفادت أرانشا عبر حسابها الرسمي على “تويتر” أن هناك حيرة حول التشكيل الذي سيدفع به المدرب، زين الدين زيدان، أمام ليفربول مع كل هذه الإصابات.

وتابع: “كارفاخال وفاران لن يكونا متاحين أمام ليفربول، مع فالفيردي، علينا الانتظار لمزيد من الفحوصات الطبية لأنه لا يعاني من إصابة عضلية ولكنها كدمة في القدم”.

Loads of Arsenal fans have been reacting on social media after the Telegraph claimed that Unai Emery will consult with his squad over Granit Xhaka continuing as captain.

The Swiss midfielder was handed the armband following a secret ballot among the Gunners squad in September, with striker Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang named as his vice-captain.

Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil were also nominated as part of Arsenal’s leadership group, which was shook up following the departures of Petr Cech, Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny.

Xhaka’s role as captain was cast into doubt at the weekend though, when the 27-year-old reacted angrily to boos ringing out around the Emirates Stadium as he strolled off the field after being substituted.

The £35million man responded to the jeers echoing around the ground as Arsenal drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace by cupping his ears, before throwing the armband to the feet of Aubameyang and storming off down the tunnel while taking his shirt off.

Head coach Emery has now decided to consult with members of his squad over whether Xhaka can continue as captain, having met with the 80-cap international on Monday, before making a final decision.

Leeds could be about to receive some season-defining news as Kiko Casilla’s fate hangs in the balance as the FA continue to investigate his apparent racial abuse against Jonathan Leko.

Phil Hay has previously stated that he expects Casilla to be cited for this incident, and reports over the weekend have stated that the Spaniard could be banned for up to 12 games.

Of course, this will have some serious repercussions for the team as they’ll have to replace the goalkeeper that has marshalled the best defence in the Championship up until this point.

The most likely replacement for Casilla is Illan Meslier. The French teenager arrived at Elland Road on loan this summer, but he’s only been on the periphery since.

The loanee is likely to get a chance if Casilla is banned, and that may affect another player in the squad.

With the EFL’s current rules stating that you can only have five loanees in a matchday squad, Leeds have had something of a dilemma in that department.

With rumours circulating that Spurs are considering recalling the £5.4m-rated man in January, a lengthy spell without a sniff at first-team football will certainly encourage Tottenham to exercise their recall option on the 18-year-old.

West Bromwich Albion returned to the summit of the Championship table on Monday evening as they defeated Stoke City 2-0 up in Staffordshire.

Slaven Bilic’s men eased to a comfortable three points thanks to Matty Phillips’ sixth of the season and substitute Hal Robson-Kanu’s second-half penalty.

The introduction of the goalscorer wasn’t the only positive change the Croatian made during the game, either.

Just a minute before Robson-Kanu stepped onto the pitch, Bilic made the bold call of bringing key man Matheus Pereira off for Filip Krovinovic.

The Brazilian has contributed directly to eight goals this campaign, three scored by himself and five he has assisted, so it is clear to see that he is an integral part of Albion’s attacking prowess.

His replacement, on the other hand, has been somewhat underwhelming since his arrival in the summer, recording just one assist back in August, but he’s barely been given an opportunity because of the form of Pereira and Romaine Sawyers.

Off the Bench

Krovinovic showed why his Croatian counterpart is right to still keep some faith in him with an excellent showing from the bench.

The 24-year-old’s pass won the Baggies a penalty as his deft through ball set Diangana clear before he was scythed down inside the opposition’s box.

As a result, Robson-Kanu duly stepped up to dispatch his third goal in four games to secure all three points.

Per SofaScore, Krovinovic also recorded 92% passing accuracy from 29 touches of the ball, won both of his two ground duels, and earned two free-kicks.

The home side had been banging on the door a few times in the second half as they actually recorded more attempts at goal than the Baggies with five, two of which were blocked.

So Krovinovic’s presence helped settle things down, and ultimately, he was the man that created the game-clinching chance to finish things off.

Bilic certainly has some strength in depth.

وبناء على المواعيد المعلنة فإنه من المقرر أن ينتهي الموسم الحالي بنهاية شهر سبتمبر المقبل.
