أعلن مرتضى منصور رئيس مجلس إدارة نادي الزمالك عن تعيين البرتغالي جيسفالدو فيريرا مديرًا فنيًا للفريق الأول لكرة القدم.

وكان الزمالك اعلن عن رحيل الفرنسي باتريس كارتيرون على خلفية النتائج السلبية التي لاحقت الفريق في الفترة الماضية.

وأوضح مرتضى منصور أن الزمالك تعاقد مع فيريرا لمدة موسم ونصف، وأن المدير الفني جلب معه ثلاثة مساعدين، بواقع مساعد مدير فني، ومحلل أداء، ومدرب لياقه بدنية.

كما سيستمر الجهاز المعاون المكون من أسامة نبية المدرب العام وأحمد عبد المقصود المدرب، وأيمن طاهر مدرب حراس المرمى.

Edu foi uma espécie de mentor de Alessandro no Corinthians. Desde que se aposentou como jogador, no fim de 2013, o ex-lateral passou a ser orientado pelo amigo. Antes de substituir Gaspar, ele ocupava o cargo de coordenador de futebol.

Procurado pela reportagem do LANCE!, Alessandro pediu para não conceder entrevista, mas disse acreditar que tais comentários a seu respeito têm a ver com o momento turbulento vivido pelo Corinthians nos bastidores. O gerente afirmou que mantém ótima relação com jogadores e parceiros do clube e que suas atribuições são apenas referentes ao futebol, não à política do Timão.

O L! também tentou contato com Flávio Adauto, diretor de futebol corintiano e chefe direto de Alessandro no clube, mas não teve êxito.

A reportagem apurou que Roberto de Andrade não pretende ceder às pressões para demitir Alessandro agora, sobretudo porque o momento é decisivo para o planejamento alvinegro para 2017. Trocar o comando do futebol neste momento poderia prejudicar a formação do elenco para a próxima temporada, principalmente porque Flávio Adauto está há pouco mais de um mês no cargo de diretor e o presidente corintiano tem outras diversas questões para lidar.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for West Ham’s Declan Rice ahead of the upcoming transfer window, with the English giants expected to use Jesse Lingard as a makeweight in any potential move.

The 22-year-old has excelled for the Hammers this season, starting 30 Premier League games for the capital club, achieving an impressive 7.01 WhoScored rating.

Rice’s impressive performances have caught the eye of several of the countries top teams, and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s side are the latest club to be linked with the England international.

According to The Athletic’s West Ham reporter Roshane Thomas, the Red Devils are set to use Lingard in order to acquire one of their main transfer targets this summer, and Rice is high up on their wishlist.

Lingard has impressed since arriving at the London Stadium on loan in January, bagging nine goals and providing four assists in 14 Premier League appearances for the capital club.

The 28-year-old’s impressive form for the Hammers has seen his market value rise and become a more attractive option for any interested party, and therefore, a potentially useful asset for the Old Trafford outfit to have going into the transfer window.

Thomas claims it’s not just David Moyes’ men who are interested in signing Lingard over the coming months, though, and that the 20-time English champions could use their academy graduate for other targets besides Rice.

“Clubs have already started to form a disorderly queue to secure his signature, and there is a feeling at West Ham that should Manchester United decide to sell Lingard this summer, they are likely to try to use him as a makeweight in a deal for a player they would like to bring to Old Trafford.”

Previous reports from The Athletic have linked Manchester United with attempting to pull off a swap move involving the two midfielders, claiming the possibility was “expected to be explored.”

The base of United’s midfield has been an area of weakness for some time now, and if the club’s hierarchy seriously wants to reign in their local rivals at the top of the Premier League table, then they must sanction a move for Rice.

If United can use Lingard as a makeweight in a deal to get Rice, the club’s fans will surely be buzzing to get such a quality player into the club as they’ll be desperate to see their team challenging for top honours next season.

وعن الأجواء المحيطة بـ تشيلسي وهل تأثر بها؟، أجاب توخيل: “ليس أكثر مما كنا عليه في المباراة الماضية.. نحن لسنا مسؤولين عن الموقف، لذا فمن مسؤوليتنا التركيز على ما نفعله جيدًا.. هناك الكثير من الأشخاص الذين أراهم يوميًا يشعرون بالقلق.. لقد عملوا هنا منذ عقود لكنهم ليسوا مشهورين مثلنا وهم قلقون بشأن المستقبل”.

Southampton’s former vice-chairman Les Reed has revealed the reason behind Wesley Hoedt’s failure at the club in an exclusive interview with Football FanCast.

Saints paid £15m to sign Hoedt from Serie A club Lazio in 2017, with the Netherlands international signing a five-year contract at St Mary’s.

At the time, Reed said that the defender was “one of the most promising young defenders in Europe” but he struggled to make a real impact on the south coast.

Hoedt made 45 appearances for Saints in total, making 23 appearances under Mark Hughes and 22 under Mauricio Pellegrino.

He never played a single minute under the management of Ralph Hasenhuttl and he is now back in Serie A, playing for Lazio on loan, the club from whom he joined the Saints.

Reed felt that the deal was a good one when he arrived at the club, but that a mistake early in his Saints spell ultimately destroyed his confidence.

Speaking exclusively to FFC, he said: “Wesley was on our radar in Ronald’s reign, although we bought him in Puel’s reign because Ronald wanted a left-sided centre-half and we didn’t have one. And he was playing for Lazio in the Champions League and was in the Dutch national team.

“At the day of purchase, he was a good buy.

“But having got in the building, Claude, who wanted a left-sided centre-half because of the way he wanted to play, he did make an incredible error that led to a defeat, and that was it, wiped off. Destroyed the player’s confidence and then it gets very difficult to pull that back.”

Leeds United would be making a major transfer mistake by signing Newcastle United star Jacob Murphy this summer.

What’s the story?

With the Premier League season reaching its climax on Sunday, Marcelo Bielsa will be keen to kick-start the summer transfer window with a few early signings at Elland Road.

According to Football Insider, the Whites are set to join Scottish giants Rangers in the race to sign Murphy.

The report added that the winger has just over a year left on his contract at St James’ Park, with a number of other Premier League clubs also interested in signing him.

Underwhelming from Bielsa

While Murphy has lately been deployed by Bruce as a right wing-back, his record when used as a winger is rather underwhelming, and one which won’t have Leeds fans excited at all.

In the 19 games this season where he has played further forward out wide, the £25,000-a-week earner has managed just two goals and three assists in all competitions. By contrast, Raphinha has four goals and five assists in 22 games from the right flank for Leeds this term.

Murphy has effectively been a passenger for the Magpies going forward, and that’s not the kind of player the Whites need if they are to reach another level next season in the Premier League.

Bielsa needs to be targeting more proven options in the top flight, and Murphy’s below-par goalscoring record raises some major questions marks over Leeds’ reported interest in signing him this summer.
