O técnico José Pekerman divulgou na noite da última sexta-feira a lista final dos seus convocados para os dois próximos jogos da Colômbia nas Eliminatórias para a Copa do Mundo de 2018. Em alta no Fla, o volante Cuéllar foi lembrado pelo comandante da seleção do seu país.

A Colômbia vai enfrentar na duas próximas rodadas o Brasil, no dia 5 de setembro e também a Venezuela, no próximo dia 31. O colombiano vai se apresentar após o jogo entre Flamengo e Atlético-PR, deste fim de semana. Além dele, Guerrero e Trauco estão convocados para defender o Peru e vão jogar nas próximas rodadas das Eliminatórias.

Cuéllar voltou a ganhar moral com a chegada de Reinaldo Rueda, que fez questão de colocar o camisa 26 no time titular, que realizou dois grandes jogos na semifinal da Copa do Brasil contra o Botafogo no Nilton Santos e depois no Maracanã.

Berrío chegou a aparecer na pré-lista de Pekerman, mas acabou ficando de fora. Outro que atua no Brasil e está convocado para a Colômbia é Borja, do Palmeiras. A convocação também conta com nomes de peso, como Falcao García, James Rodríguez e Cuadrado.

رد نادي ليتشي المنافس في بطولة الدوري الإيطالي على أنباء رغبته في ضم مدافع الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي برشلونة، صامويل أومتيتي، قبل نهاية الميركاتو الصيفي الحالي.

وزعمت شبكة “سكاي سبورتس” يوم أمس، السبت، أن نادي ليتشي يريد ضم أومتيتي وستكون الصفقة على سبيل الإعارة لمدة موسم واحد حتى 30 يونيو 2023.

وأضاف: “لكن ما تزال المفاوضات مستمرة والطريق طويل حتى يتم الانتهاء من تلك الصفقة”.

الجدير بالذكر أن أومتيتي قد تم إبلاغه من طرف نادي برشلونة ومديره الفني، تشافي هيرنانديز، بأنه خارج حسابات الفريق الكتالوني.

Therefore, Bitton was Postecoglou’s unsung hero against the Hungarian side. He provided the balance in midfield to allow Celtic to be at their best at both ends of the pitch, and the Australian head coach will surely be over the moon with the 30-year-old’s display. The manager will surely be hoping that Bitton can maintain this level of performance throughout the rest of the season, particularly in Europe.

According to the Telegraph’s Matt Law, former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo has emerged as a leading candidate to become the Magpies’ new director of football.

“Newcastle United make Michael Emenalo their top choice for the director of football job following talks in Saudi Arabia. More talks to follow. Would be a huge coup for the new ownership,” he tweeted earlier this week.

It’s thought that the 56-year-old travelled to Saudi Arabia to hold talks with Newcastle’s new owners and has now become their first-choice option for the role.

Talks are expected to accelerate during the international break, whilst Emenalo is said to be a big fan of Howe, having spoken glowingly about him during recent discussions.

Game-changing hire

Whilst the appointment of the former AFC Bournemouth stalwart is huge for the club, especially post-Steve Bruce, the arrival of the Nigerian could be exactly what PIF need to truly revolutionise the northeast sleeping giants.

During Emenalo’s time at Stamford Bridge, he won the Premier League three times, the Champions League, the Europa League, the FA Cup and the League Cup, whilst he played an integral role in appointing those managers that led the Blues to glory and was key to their impressive recruitment.

It was the 56-year-old who spotted and signed talents like Kevin De Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku and Thibaut Courtois. He also helped convince Eden Hazard to make the switch from Lille.

Furthermore, he had plenty of influence on their academy, which in recent times has seen players such as Mason Mount, Reece James, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori go on to become first-team regulars, both in west London and elsewhere.

These are all elements that have been lacking from St James’ Park for several years, if not forever, so by appointing the former Monaco man, PIF could genuinely change the Magpies’ fortunes – starting deep behind the scenes.

None of Newcastle’s most-recent starting XI had an academy graduate in it, with Sean Longstaff the only member on the bench, whilst the club’s transfer dealings over the past few seasons only further highlight the need for someone like Emenalo – think club-record £40m signing Joelinton, for example.

So forget Howe, the ex-Chelsea supremo could be the final piece of the puzzle for the Magpies’ new ownership, and it’s a decision that could be game-changing for the club.

On the above evidence, those around Tyneside should be absolutely buzzing.

كشف توماس توخيل المدير الفني لفريق تشيلسي، عن موقفه من التعاقد مع صفقات جديدة خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الجارية.

Tanto o técnico Dorival Júnior quanto jogadores mais experientes, como o volante Petros, já fizeram elogios pomposos ao garoto. Mas de onde vem a confiança em um jogador que tem pouca idade e jogos pelo profissional do clube? A resposta passa pelo seu comportamento centrado, suas características e até o sucesso das joias de sua geração, já negociadas com o futebol europeu.

O São Paulo negociou este ano dois grandes talentos de sua base, em transações que atingiram quase R$ 100 milhões. Atacantes do time sub-20 campeão de tudo ano passado, David Neres foi vendido ao Ajax (HOL) e Luiz Araújo, ao Lille (FRA). Os valores confirmaram a fama do clube de fazer bons negócios do ponto de vista financeiro, mas no clube há a expectativa de que Lucas Fernandes pode ir além. Tanto Neres, depois de oito jogos, e Luiz Araújo, 51, saíram sem conquistar nada no time profissional. Já para Lucas, a ideia é que ele faça carreira no clube antes de pegar o mesmo destino.

A postura de Lucas rende elogios dos colegas mais velhos e que já conquistaram muito no futebol. O volante Petros, que assumiu postura de líder com pouco tempo de clube, disse esta semana que ficou impressionado com a personalidade do garoto. Foi segunda-feira. Na terça, Lucas foi o entrevistado do dia e assumiu a bronca. Mostrou-se pronto para assumir uma vaga, mesmo com o time vivendo o pior momento de sua história, na 19ª colocação do Campeonato Brasileiro, há dez rodadas na zona do rebaixamento.

– Infelizmente as lesões me deixaram para trás. Não quero me comparar com meus amigos que foram embora. Cada um tem seu tempo. Desde as lesões busco a melhor forma física. Eu me sinto bem melhor preparado pra me firmar no time. Chegou a minha hora. Estou pronto para ser titular – afirmou Lucas Fernandes.

De fato, Lucas sofreu com lesões. Ano passado, foram duas cirurgias, no ombro e no joelho esquerdos. Este ano, duas lesões musculares, que o afastaram dos treinamentos e impediram mais sequência de jogos. Pelo São Paulo, apesar de ter sido o primeiro do grande time sub-20 a subir, foram apenas 25 jogos e dois gols. Este ano, disputou 12 jogos e marcou um gol.

Porém, apesar da pouca assiduidade, o potencial apresentado nos treinos anima. O entrosamento com Hernanes, que o fez ganhar o apelido de Profetinha, é nítido. A alcunha veio porque, assim como o famoso meia, Lucas é ambidestro, tem facilidade para bater de perna direita e esquerda. Essa virtude, unida uma técnica apurada e capacidade para ser cérebro do time, são apontados como as características que podem fazer o meia superar os dois que já deixaram o clube.

Isso poderemos saber a partir do próximo sábado, se realmente Lucas chegar e ele estiver certo como sua hora no time. Confiança ele tem.

Spurs’ current number one Hugo Lloris is out of contract in just over six months’ time. The Frenchman revealed in August that Tottenham have made no attempts to extend his deal, and should his situation remain the same over the coming months, he will be able to speak with clubs outside of England ahead of a potential pre-contract agreement.

Pierluigi Gollini arrived on loan prior to Antonio Conte taking over, but it seems as if the manager has another ‘keeper on his wish list.

The Latest: Onana links

90min shared a report on Wednesday, claiming that Spurs boss Conte is keen to bring Onana to north London.

The 52-year-old has told managing director of football Fabio Paratici that he wants a new shot-stopper, with the Ajax man a ‘keeper who he admires.

The Cameroon international would fit Conte’s style of play as he is capable of playing out from the back, with Spurs possibly rivalling Newcastle and Inter Milan for his services.

The Verdict: Wise move?

Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this year that Arsenal viewed Onana as a ‘perfect’ goalkeeper, so bringing him to Spurs could be a shrewd piece of business in the long run.

He is on just £33,000 per week with his current employers, so you’d expect Tottenham wouldn’t need to make him one of their top earners. Spurs also need to think long-term with Lloris turning 35 next month, and Onana appears to be a ready-made replacement.

He has lined out 204 times for Ajax, with more than 50 of those coming in European competition. Onana also has international experience and is out of contract in the summer, so a cut-price swoop in January could make sense with a view to replacing Lloris next season.
